The Upstate Hot Shots group shoots sporting clays at the Belton Gun Club the 1st Saturday of each month.
The forecast keeps changing so my thoughts are that we proceed and if the rain does not lighten up we can shoot the five stand and also maybe the skeet field. Or we just go ahead and shoot the course. Donnie and George did update the course this week.
Also, please consider inviting someone to join you in the next couple of months. We have 14 shooting tomorrow so let's plan on lunch for 16-20.
Following the shoot, a pot luck lunch with the following theme will take place.(Soup and Cornbread) If you are coming and don't know what to bring Cornbread would be a good option. Please bring an item to fit the theme of the month and we will eat lunch together as a group. This will allow for fun and fellowship. Membership at Belton Gun Club is not required but it is preferred. At this time, we have plenty of members to cover the number of nonmembers that shoot with us.
Please arrive 9:30 AM - 9:45 AM - purchase card for clays from the pro-shop (about $40.00 and to rent a golf cart is $10.00 per person).
The safety talk begins at 10:00 AM.
Begin shooting by 10:30 AM at the latest.
Lunch 1:00 PM (at the latest)
We do begin shooting if everyone arrives early.
If this is your first time shooting and need extra assistance, it is imperative that you have proper clay shot shells, eye and hearing protection. We are fortunate to have John Riester, Donnie Mattison and the BGC Staff to help make sure we are safe and can hit more clays.
Don't forget hearing and eye protection. If you need to borrow a shotgun, we can help with that too.
