  80-Round Regional Match Course of Fire:

  The Belton Rifle Club Range is a 300 yard range. Matches are shot at 200 & 300 yards. The 600 yard course is shot at the 300 yard line on reduced targets. Electronic scoring will be used on all yard lines. The course of fire is the standard NRA 80-Round Match with sighters at each yard line.

  Course of Fire: Match will follow CMP Course-A format 35 rounds fired at 200 yards.

  • ·         Stage One – Sighting, Slow Fire – 5 rounds fired in 5 minutes
  • ·         Stage Two – Prone, Slow Fire – 10 rounds fired in 10 minutes
  • ·         Stage Three – Prone, Rapid Fire – 10 rounds fired in 80 seconds

  All competitors will be expected to score and assist in range duties (set-up and clean-up) as required.

  Safety: Competitors will follow range safety rules. Eye and ear protection required. A safety brief will be conducted prior to start of match. All participants must sign range liability waiver.

  A - CMP As Issued Rifle Categories:

  • 1)    M1 Garand
  • 2)    Springfield – 1903 & 1903A3
  • 3)    Vintage Rifle – Includes US Krag & M1917 and vintage foreign military bolt rifles (Vintage Military which includes just about all service rifles made prior to 1954)
  • 4)    Modern Military Rifle –Standard production or as-issued semi-automatic military type rifles of U.S. or foreign manufacture with no special accurizing or match conditioning.

  General: 50-yard benchrest match for semi-automatic rimfire rifle chamber in 22 LR.

  The competition consists of 20 bullseyes for score shot in 15 minutes. The maximum score is 200.

   

  It uses .22 Rimfire automatic rifles with unlimited scope power in 3 basic classes:

  1) Factory

  2) Unlimited

  3) Outlaw - This class is for bolt guns: heavy barrel and light barrel.

  2024 Smallbore/Precision Air Rifle Summer Camp

  
  

  The 2024 South Carolina Junior Olympic Qualifier was held on 06 January 2024 at The Citadel College Daniel Inouye Rifle Marksmanship Center. From the results it appears as if a Camp Alum will be invited again this year to shoot 3-Position Smallbore in the 2024 Junior Olympics (JO) at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in April. It is also likely that a Summer Camp Alum from Kentucky will also be invited again this year after his Qualifier performance for his home state. This shooter from Kentucky just signed his “Letter of Intent” to attend Wofford College and shoot on the Wofford Rifle Team. Wofford is one of two college rifle teams in South Carolina competing in the SoCon of the NCAA.

  
  

  June 17-21, 2024, has been set for the fifth annual Rifle Summer Camp we’ve held at Belton Gun Club. These dates have been finalized with Belton Gun Club, the Coaches, and Instructors. We will have an NRA Approved 3-Position match on the last day of Camp. The match will be a 3x20 and Camp will end at the conclusion of the match (around noon). Pre-registration is a MUST as Camp is limited to ten Athletes. This is a non-residential camp and there is no overnight housing on the Club. There are a couple of large metropolitan areas close by as well as Interstate 85. Lodging is plentiful. The Camp will include classroom instruction, and live-fire of rifles on an outdoor range in a formal manner under supervision of NRA/CMP/USA Shooting Coaches, Instructors, and Range Safety Officers.

  
  

  If you are age 13 to 19 and interested in learning OLYMPIC-STYLE 3-Position Shooting, this Camp is for you! We also provide an opportunity for intermediate shooters to get advanced training, put practice rounds downrange and shoot another match before the National Matches. 3-Position Air Rifle is used on High School Teams. 3-Position Smallbore and International (Standing) Air Rifle is used in NCAA, World Cup and Olympic competitions. Belton Gun Club has 3-Position Smallbore Matches that are NRA Approved.

  
  

  The NRA and CMP also have matches on the regional and national level. Tuition for the entire week of Camp is $175 which includes lunch (Mon.-Thurs.), rifles, ammunition, all shooting equipment, water and snacks. Athletes may bring their own eye and ear protection or use those provided. Athletes with their own match-grade rifles and shooting equipment are encouraged to bring it.   The Level one class is for all levels of shooters.

  
  

  You must attend the level one class to join a level two class. This class is not your average stand and shoot class. It will push you past your comfort zone and really teach you how to practice reaching your goals. By the end of this class, you will be able to identify your mistakes and have an idea how to fix them.

  
  

  This class teaches fundamental shooting skills and their application to USPSA stages. I will be assessing each student's performance individually and providing personalized feedback. We will be starting the class running the stages designed for that individual class. We will follow up the stage runs with Shooting Foundation drills. Students will have an opportunity to re-shoot the Stage/Stages later in the class to improve their runs. The goal is for each student to leave the course and be able to assess their own shooting. Max class size of 12 students and a Minimum of 8 students. The class fills up quickly so make sure you reserve your spot ASAP.

  Belton Gun Club will be hosting the Belton Double Trouble Day/Night IDPA match. The Day Match will start at Noon and the Night Match will begin at 1930. This will be two Tier 2 matches in one day and participants may shoot one match for $70 or both matches for a reduced fee of $120. Each match will earn you 1 point for the IDPA nationals.

  NRL22 monthly match, occurs every fourth Sunday of the month. Check event calendar for changes and updates.

   

  Location: 300yd range

  
  

  Start Time: 9AM Registration and safety brief.

  Rifle sighting (50yds for zero and 100yds for DOPE) and then match will begin after registration and safety brief are completed.

  
  

  Match Fee: $15 for each rifle,

  
  

  Equipment: 22 long rifles only, bolt actions preferred but semiautos are allowed (safety must be switched on and call out “safety” for each position move during COF).

  
  

  Safety: Eye and ear protection required.
